The Komodo is Talaria's step above the Sting MX5 Pro — a 97.2V, 32 kW machine that moves toward the Ultra Bee class on power and features, carrying the reassurance of a familiar brand and a stated warranty. The XE Pro R is a newer import that spends its engineering budget on a lighter chassis and a bigger amp-hour pack, undercutting the Komodo on both price and weight while betting you'll accept a less-proven brand to get there.

Weight → XE Pro R, decisively. This is the headline. At 175 lb the XE Pro R is 41 lb lighter than the 216 lb Komodo — the single biggest real-world difference between them. The Komodo's 65 mph is the cleaner, more consistent claim, though it ships factory-limited to 20 mph and must be derestricted to reach it. Advantage XE Pro R if the 72 holds up — but treat it as a claim, not a fact.

Warranty & support → Komodo. The Komodo lists a stated 12-month warranty and carries the established Talaria brand, with a deeper dealer and community starting point than most new imports. The XE Pro R's warranty is unstated in our data, and Arctic Leopard is a newer brand with thinner community history. For a big-ticket bike you'll want serviced and supported for years, that predictability is a real Komodo advantage — confirm the XE Pro R's warranty terms with the dealer before you buy.

Features → Komodo. The Komodo adds four ride modes plus reverse and regen to the XE Pro R's three modes — small things, but reverse in particular is genuinely useful on a 175–216 lb bike you have to muscle around. A minor edge, but it's the Komodo's.
